Valley Trails Homeowner's Association
The Valley Trails Homeowners Association is a volunteer organization that works within the Valley Trails community to:
- Maintain and improve appearance standards
- Monitor developments within Valley Trails, and in adjacent areas, to ensure they will have a positive impact on our neighborhood
- Work with city, county and state agencies to repair and/or improve Valley Trails infrastructure, parks and equipment
- Promote a neighborhood environment through meetings, gatherings, garage sales and crime watch that produces a friendly community and lowers the crime rate
Before our Association, there was no group to represent your interest in Valley Trails. Since our inception, we have been very effective and numerous projects have been completed to enhance our neighborhood. Below are a few of the accomplishments the Valley Trails Homeowners Association is responsible for:
- New playground equipment in the park ($40,000)
- $550,000 park renovations
- Street repaving
- Trees planted by the freeway (some have survived)
- Keeping inappropriate housing developments out of our neighborhood
- Old bridge abutments removed from Arroyo to remove flood hazard
- ALL Valley Trails houses out of the flood zone
All of these accomplishments have added to our quality of life in Valley Trails. But the best result of the Homeowners Association involvement in our community is the increased property values that we experience. Many homes in Valley Trails increased over 20% in 2004 and the perception of buyers is that Valley Trails is a nice place to live and raise your children.
The Valley Trails Homeowner’s Association is an all volunteer organization and your $20.00 annual membership fee supports the Association and its efforts on your behalf. Only $1.67 per month returns thousands of dollars per year to each household. Plus, it gives us a stronger voice with elected officials and a known presence in the community.
If you are a resident of Valley Trails and are not yet a member of the Homeowners Association, please consider joining this active, effective Association that consistently represents your interests.
